DailyGram, Wednesday, March 4th, 2020

What we did today:

Manipulatives: We built with our magnet blocks, we made “castles,” “rocket ships,” and “cake.” We used our Lego to build tall towers and “robots.”

Housekeeping: We cuddled our baby dolls. We used our containers and spoons to make “ice cream for everybody.”

Sensory Table: We played in our rice table, we scooped, dug and dumped rice. We made a “castle” and a “tractor”

Infant/Toddler Room Activity: We rolled our balls, crawled around, and played with our infant toys.

Project: We made Lions with paper plates and googly eyes.

Outside Time: We got out our big trucks, and hauled rocks and “moved dirt” to “up.” We also used our rocks in our playhouse kitchen to “bake chicken.”

At Morning Meeting: We read “First 100 Machines” which Zachariah brought to share with his friends today. We sang our good morning song. We did our lamb and lion chart, we thought today was a lion day because of all the wind. We did our calendar, Zachariah was helper today.

For Breakfast We Had: Wheat toast with strawberry jam, and milk.

For Lunch We Had: Beef ravioli (Meat alternate: kidney beans and whole wheat crackers), carrots, broccoli and milk

For Snack We Had: Raw broccoli with ranch dressing, and whole wheat crackers.

We had nap time from 1:00 to 3:00

What we did today:

Block Area: We played with our cars we drove them all over, and also used them to make “cake.” We also used our big wooden blocks to build with our magnet blocks.

Loft: We played with our stuffed animals

Manipulatives: We used our magnet blocks and our wooden blocks to build houses and spaceships.

Housekeeping: We made “cake” and played with our baby dolls.

Infant/Toddler Room Activity: We dumped all our balls out and chased them around and scooped them into baskets. We also put them in our tunnels well we were crawling through.

Outside Time: We rode our bikes, tried to “drill” with sticks, and used our steering wheels to drive a “bus.”

At Morning Meeting: We read a Let’s Find Out about March coming in like a lion, and out like a lamb. We talked about what that means and started a weather chart to mark lamb and lion days. We sang “A Beautiful Rainbow Came.” We did our calendar, Charlotte was helper today.

For Breakfast We Had: Chocolate brioche, bananas and milk.

For Lunch We Had: Cottage cheese, crackers, carrots, broccoli, and milk.

For Snack We Had: Graham crackers and milk.

We had nap time from 1:00 to 3:00

What we did today:

Block Area: We played with our people, making families out of them and putting them to bed. We thought some might be making mean faces, but maybe they aren’t actually mean. We did some “exercise” where we tried to do our morning meeting yoga all by ourselves.

Loft: We put pillows on our heads and shambled around saying “I’m a zombie.” We put our two animal crates together, climbed in and played “tow truck.”

Manipulatives: We used our pegs to give “medicine” to our baby dolls. We built “icing” with our magnet blocks.

Housekeeping: We took care of our babies, We fed them milk and gave them medicine, “ow, he bit me!” we pretended. We made “baby food” and took turns feeding it to our friends.

Infant/Toddler Room Activity: We dumped all our balls all over the floor and chased them all around, and tried to throw them. We built with our soft blocks and had fun knocking them down.

Outside Time: We rode our bikes, we were “firefighters” and “Elsa” rushing to put out a fire. We found some sticks, including a big one. We used it as a staff to play “wishes” and “witches.” We also used it as a spoon to stir up “chicken” and “tomato sauce” for “dinner.”

At Morning Meeting: We read “Cinderella,” Charlotte brought it to share. She also shared a lovely picture of her getting a haircut with all her friends. We sang “Manners” and “Morning.” We put on our cd played and danced around.

For Breakfast We Had: Oatmeal, oranges and milk.

For Lunch We Had: Cheese sandwiches, carrot sticks, creamed corn and milk.

For Snack We Had: Chocolate brioche, and milk

We had nap time from 1:00 to 3:00

What we did today:

Block Area: We used our dress up buckets and some of our long wooden blocks to play pirate ship. We danced around and played our instruments.

Loft: We hid from monsters and shooed them away. We sang “Ring Around the Rosie” and all fell down many times (falling makes a really good noise up in the loft!).

Manipulatives: We practiced our shapes with our tangrams.

Housekeeping: We dressed up in our dresses and twirled around. We were Elsa and princesses. We put on capes and announced we were superheroes. We chased each other around in our capes.

Infant/Toddler Room Activity: We rolled balls back and forth, played with our musical mat, and dumped all our toys out.

Project: We practiced our coloring and used markers to color teddy bear pictures.

Outside Time: We played on our structure, rode our bikes and swung on our swings. We had lots of energy today and ran everywhere from activity to activity.

At Morning Meeting: We sang “The Days of the Week Go Round and Round.” We read “Winter Out My Window” and “Be Different, Be Friends.” We did our calendar, Ellie was helper. We danced around all over, we pretended we were logs and did a “log dance.”

For Breakfast We Had: Oatmeal, oranges and milk

For Lunch We Had: Sunbutter and jelly sandwiches, carrot sticks, peas and milk

For Snack We Had: Chips and apple juice.

We had nap time from 1:00 to 3:00

What we did today:

Block Area: We played with our wooden blocks for a while today. We used our dress up buckets as trays and the blocks as the batter and “baked cakes.” We built a ramp for our cars and tested all of them on it. We built a pirate ship with a bucket and some blocks and went for a sail.

Manipulatives: We used our Lego to build robots. We used our connect and create to make hammers to hammer our classroom shelves. We also used them to make an iron for our dress up clothes.

Housekeeping: We fed our baby dolls bottles, dressed up like superheroes, and washed our dress up clothes in the sink.

Infant/Toddler Room Activity: We teethed, played with our musical mat, made faces at ourselves in the mirror, and wiggled all around.

Outside Time: We couldn’t go outside on account of the rain today so we stayed in and played with our parachute and tossing balls into buckets.

At Morning Meeting: We read “Five Little Penguins Slipping on the Ice” again at Sila’s request. We sang “The Days of the Week Go Round and Round” and “Love, Love, Love.” We did fairy yoga. Silas helped with the calendar today.

For Breakfast We Had: Cheerios, bananas, and milk.

For Lunch We Had: Chicken (Meat alternate: Cheese), stuffing with pesto, brussel sprouts, salad, and milk

For Snack We Had: Cereal bars, and milk

We had nap time from 1:00 to 3:00
